Paintbox

Just another Taubman's Australia paint bucket you say? Think again, as once you open this bucket, a shirt lies inside waiting to be worn. They say fashion feeds on art, as controversially shown by performance artist Marina Abramovic and Riccardo Tisci from Givenchy via a nude photoshoot, but this collaboration makes this idea much more accessible. The Italian cotton tee features a brightly warped orchid print designed by Australian fashion royalty, Josh Goot, complementing his visually organic style and array of colours available throughout Taubman's Australia's range of paints.

Using colours from Taubman's such as Lavendula, Rouge Roi, Split Lime and Taffy Twist to create the print, the designer has managed to produce a tshirt that reflects the love of the tropics, summery weather and healthiness that Australians have. The tee is arriving just in time for the Summer of the Southern Hemisphere, being available in December 13 at the label's Paddington (Sydney) and Melbourne boutiques.

News has hit that the multinational Swedish label will release a specially designed collection for Australian customers, aptly named "Australia Exclusive". The collection, according to the press release, has been designed to suit the outdoorsy lifestyle of Australians. The pieces will only be available at the Melbourne flagship store, meaning Melbournians will be in for a fashion riot worth seeing, if of course they aren't there amongst the chaos.

Fashion illustrators are a wonderful sight to see at fashion shows - their concentration, their rapid-moving hands... But what's more so is seeing the finished product of their rightly timed drawing skills. Tobie Giddio, resident fashion illustrator of the home of fashion film - Show Studio, has chosen her best illustrations of the Spring/Summer 2014 collections shown in the recent fashion month. It seems as though Tobie has combined all the elements of the show and collection and depicted it in one collective illustration, capturing the energy from the music, stand-out characteristics from pieces within the collection and the overall silhouette of the garments. Tobie's illustrations are available for purchase on the Show Studio website.

Minimalism and mechanics aren't something associated with the collections from Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci, but it seems things have taken a turn. Givenchy are now set to release a series of watches and timepieces, named Seventeen. Encompassing elements such as stainless steel and sapphire glass housing a Swiss quartz movement, these architectural watches are perfect for the man with a contemporary taste. Keep an eye out for when these valuable pieces are available, there's a guarantee Tisci fans will snatch them quickly...

Lady Dior

Dior's repertoire has certainly risen since Raf Simons' inception into the label, and the new Lady Dior campaign is proof of this. The beautifully demure French actress, Marion Cotillard poses as the Dior woman - striking and mysterious with an air of sophistication about her. The modernistic Dior aesthetic of Raf's ensemble are juxtaposed against the dainty and colourful Lady Dior bags, but complete the signature Dior look. Shot by the wonderful Jean-Baptiste Mondino, this understated campaign is an eye-catching blip in the rapidly changing fashion industry.

Martin Margiela's Maison set to give us a G-SHOCK!

The surge of minimalistic and straight to the point fashion design is undeniable, especially with the rising influence on mainstream fashion Maison Martin Margiela has only recently grasped once again. Following the fashion house's collaboration with H&M last year, G-SHOCK have stepped up and designed a cuff-watch hybrid due for release this coming Monday. Clinical yet stylish, this sleek design is a testament to the elemental, low-impact yet highly memorable designs of the fashion house and to mark it's 30th Anniversary - further heightened by the hypnotic teaser trailer (see below). Once these watches are released, be quick, for there are only 3000 models made worldwide...
